About

I’m Kaya — an artist, educator, and creative guide based in Den Bosch, the Netherlands.

At the heart of my work is a simple, powerful intention: To explore and express my inner world — so that I can guide others in reconnecting with their own.

I believe that drawing and creativity are tools for transformation. When we slow down, work with our hands, and give form to our inner images, we begin to shift the patterns that hold us back — like self-doubt, perfectionism, or fear of being seen. Through intuitive creative practice, we reconnect with our natural curiosity, confidence, and joy.

My own journey has led me from architecture (MSc, TU Eindhoven) to teaching university-level drawing and design — and now, to building a practice that bridges visual art, inner healing, and education. I work with meditative drawing, visual journaling, and linocut printmaking, offering both structure and space for deep exploration.

Whether we’re learning how to draw in perspective or sitting with quiet, intuitive mark-making, my sessions are always personal, embodied, and kind.

Art, to me, is not about performance. It’s about presence — and remembering who you are.

Let’s learn from creative play — and see where it takes us.

Warmly,
Kaya

Core values.

1. Creativity as a Healing Practice

Drawing is more than skill — it’s a way to reconnect with yourself, slow down, and process emotion through presence and expression.

2. Gentle, Personal Guidance

Teaching is rooted in kindness, patience, and deep listening. Each student’s path is unique, and growth happens through encouragement, not pressure.

3. Intuition over Perfection

Art isn’t about getting it “right.” It's about trusting your hand, your eye, and your inner world. Intuition leads — technique supports.

4. Strong Foundations, Spacious Imagination

With architectural training, I offer solid structure (perspective, spatial thinking), while inviting openness and creative flow.

5. Integrity & Honesty in Expression

Whether teaching or creating, my work is grounded in authenticity. I show up as I am, and invite others to do the same.

6. Art as Connection

Art is a bridge — to the self, to others, to the subconscious. My mission is to make that bridge walkable for anyone, regardless of experience.
